Kato Koufonissi standing in front of us, full of secret delights to tickle our eyes. And yet we can visit it. We can discover it. Its joys are not a big secret, they are an offer to anyone seeking small, beautiful adventures.<\/p>

Close to the mind and knowledge says a Greek proverb.
We will visit Kato Koufonissi, we will walk it, we will get to know it, we will put it indelibly in our memory, but it is summer and the temperature is high. This is not necessarily good or necessarily bad as long as we are prepared.<\/p>

We need per person, one beach towel, one hat, one pair of closed shoes, one bottle of water and time available from morning to evening.The boat starts early in the morning and the ticket is daily. We start early in the morning for Kato Koufonissi enjoying the boat ride. We disembark at the second stop, at the beach 'Nero'. Beautiful, elongated beach with sand and fine pebbles. We find the spot where we feel comfortable enjoying the embrace of the beach and the coolness of the sea.<\/p>

When the sun's serenade takes 2 to 3 hours to complete, we will be ready to leave the beautiful beach and walk inland. The route we will describe is only about 2.5 kilometres, which means we need between 30 and 40 minutes. We will walk to the first stop of the lanza, in Panagia, in the old settlement. But the route is so charming that we need light and time to admire it. On the right side of the opening with the palm trees, a path begins that leads over the beach. We climb the path and turn right. The sea will always be on the right during our walk.<\/p>

At a distance of about 650 meters we will make our first stop at the hill 'Alonistria'. We will disagree with our logic but don't worry it is only temporary. In no time we will accept that the work of nature is beneficial. From 'Alonistria' we will see half of Kato Koufonissi, Keros from another angle, the beach 'Nero' from where we started and 2 old buildings and the warehouses that are dug into the earth. Everything would suggest that we should stay there forever, but we will continue our journey.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To our right the sea and Keros, the Upper Koufonissi will appear to extend beyond Kato Koufonissi, to the north, the flowers will change colors while many of the herbs we buy in bags at the supermarket will spread their scent everywhere, abundantly to the souls they love. We will pass by 'Deti' beach and then 'Laki' beach with its turquoise waters standing as a coveted embrace in front of us.<\/p>

Eventually we will reach the old settlement, Panagia'. We will walk through the deserted village and continue to the chapel of Panagia. The magnificent site of the church will make us wonder if we want to continue. We will continue backwards to the tavern 'Venetsanos' that we just passed before. We will satisfy our hunger or thirst and try to reflect while waiting for the 21:30 or 23:00 lanza that will return us to Pano Koufonissi.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
