This is one of the most crowded beaches on the island.
It is about 1800m away from the village.
This is a completely unspoilt beach, to be reached only on the coastal footpath, and there is no beach cafe or canteen, so you must bring water and food, or else walk back to the cafe on Fanos beach, 400m away.
The beach is better known as Italida, the name by which most visitors refer to it. It came about because the locals referred to the owner of the estate above the beach as the Italian (Italida), so they would say “let’s go to the Italian’s” and visitors started using the same name. Its real name is Platia Pounda.
It is sheltered from northerly winds.
